Zylog gathers two types of information about its users:
- Data that users provide through voluntary registration on our site.
- Aggregated tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our site.
Such information enables us to tailor our content to needs of users and helps us understand the demographics of our audience. Information is gathered using the following:
User Registration – Although many features of this website are available to anonymous users, some areas may require registration prior to accessing content. During registration, users will supply information required to enable transactions including, but not limited to, username, password, address, e-mail address and country.
Usage Tracking – Zylog may track user traffic patterns throughout this site. Zylog may segment overall usage statistics according to a user’s domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user’s browser).
USE OF COLLECTED INFORMATION
Zylog may use any information voluntarily given by our users to enhance their experience in our site, whether to provide interactive or personalized elements on the site or to better prepare future content based on the interests of our users. Zylog does not share user lists with outside parties, including advertisers, but may share the information within its family of companies (subsidiaries and affiliates). We use tracking information to determine which areas of our site are most (and least) popular based on traffic to those areas. This helps us continue to build a better service for our users.
Zylog gives users options wherever necessary and practical. Users may choose not to participate in certain interactive areas, including the MSDS or Technical Service Report portions of this site, which alleviates the need to collect any information from the user.
SAFE HARBOR COMPLIANCE
Unless required by law or regulation, Zylog will not disclose personal information to third parties that are not acting on behalf of Zylog or use such information for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes for which it was collected without first giving the person who provided the information the right to “opt out” from the disclosure or use.
